We operate on a cloud platform with server clusters in the UK, Europe, and America, with requests routed to the closest region to the user for minimal latency, whilst data is stored in the region suited to the client. Dedicated VPN tunnels between regions allow for traffic exchange, with each regional hub operating servers in at least 2 (minimum of 3 for data) physically different zones.
Load balancers filter secured https requests, distributing them across these zones for scalability and reliability whilst isolating server-based service endpoints from public access. Further dedicated isolated networks keep databases separate from compute instances and add an additional layer of security. The whole aHub network operates in a dedicated environment which is not shared with other company resources such as marketing websites. Under normal operations it is not accessible by Hark staff except through the predefined secured load balanced endpoints. Weekly automated network scans are performed for vulnerabilities.
